General Duty StatementPerforms entry level professional purchasing procedures in the acquisition of goods and services from a variety of vendors including small, women, and minority owned businesses. Participates with other buyers in planning for acquisition of goods and services. Provides basic buying and contracting services. Serves as liaison between the Procurement Division and internal and external customers. Refers or resolves questions or concerns from users, vendors, and the public. Assists in conducting market surveys, research, and analysis. Participates in Division programs, plans, and projects. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.Essential Functions are the functions that the individual holding the position must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation.
