Discover how we’re seeing, moving and creating the future at, meet our innovation giants at, search our open positions at, and connect with us on our social channels at and Role Summary/Purpose: As a Research Engineer – Embedded Software, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement real-time embedded systems for aerospace, power, renewable energy, healthcare, transportation, homeland security, and defense applications as part of a project team. You will collaborate with GE Business units and Government Agencies to propose and execute research programs to solve some of the world’s toughest challenges. Qualifications/Requirements: ·        Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related disciplines OR Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 3 years of related experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 5 years of related experience. ·        Structured programming experience with: VHDL, Verilog, Python, C/C++, and/or MATLAB.  ·        Experience with development of real-time embedded systems, microcontrollers, and FPGAs. ·        Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. ·        Ability to work in teams and across business functions. ·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  ·        Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
