The George B. Dantzig Auditorium, located in 1174 Etcheverry Hall, officially opened its doors on Tuesday, thanks to generous donations from alumni and friends to the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR).
The new classroom is named after the George B. Dantzig, who was known as the “father of linear programming” and was a professor in the IEOR department from 1960 to 1966.
